Bandwidth Calculator

How long will a transfer take? Remember: speeds are in bits per second, file sizes in bytes.

Last box: real-world efficiency in % (100 = ideal line speed; 85โ€“95 is more typical).

Ping & Latency Tools

Estimate round-trip time, judge a ping result, and see how latency limits throughput.

What the numbers mean
  • Ping / RTT: the time for a packet to reach a server and come back. Lower is better.
  • Jitter: how much the RTT varies. High jitter hurts calls and games more than a slightly higher average.
  • Packet loss: packets that never arrive. Even 1โ€“2% can slow downloads and break calls.
  • Bandwidth vs latency: bandwidth is how much fits per second, latency is how long it takes. A fast link can still feel slow when latency is high.

Browsers cannot send real ICMP pings, so this tool calculates and explains instead.
